#SwapLove: dewdropDC Swap
Last weekend, our friends at dewdropDC hosted an epic Clothing Swap and Pop-Up Shop, with Lisa Rowan from QuarterLife 202 (whom many of you may recognize as the rock star host of National Swap Day DC and our fabulous Sip + Swap DC volunteer).
Since we (sniffle) couldn’t be there for this one, we asked Kristine from dewdropDC to give us a recap of the event so we could feel like we were and spread the #swaplove.
Here’s what she wrote:
Last Saturday, outside the Hillyer Art Space in DC, you would have thought Radiohead was in town for a surprise concert the way people were outside standing in line…but it was actually for our first dewdropDC Clothing Swap and Pop-Up Shop! When we opened the doors tothe swap, the art gallery was bursting at its seams! It was so packed that the dewdrop staff had to throw clothes over people’s heads, and die-hard shoppers loved it—it was literally like clothes were falling from the sky!
Swappers also enjoyed the pop-up shop full of vintage vendors and indie designers—they got to shop for that special piece to complement their new wardrobe from the swap. All in all, the event was a smash success!
Here are pictures from the event, the happy swappers, and what they scored:
