District of Chic talks Swap DC!

Hi! I’m E of District of Chic and, like Megan, I too, attended the DC Sip & Swap. I was also new to the whole swapping concept and was a little overwhelmed by the prospect of entering a large room full of determined shoppers and heaps of free clothes. In an effort to stay focused, I narrowed my hunt down to tops, which resulted in me walking away with four totally solid staples. I might, perhaps, have enjoyed even more success had I bothered to put down my glass of wine, but it was a sip and swap, no?

Honestly, my favorite thing about this event (aside from the free stuff, of course) was getting to see many DC-area bloggers outside of the virtual social-sphere. I joke about the the swap being totally intense, but in reality, everyone was extremely nice and polite. A thoroughly enjoyable shopping experience. Definitely looking forward to the next one!

In this outfit, I’m wearing one of my newly acquired “swap tops,” a Zara blazer, Madewell bracelets, DIY’d Express shorts, a KMRii bag, and YSL wedges.

As always E, you look absolutely amazing! I’m glad your tops ended up working out! Though the best part for me was definitely getting to hang out too hehe:)
