Fashion Week Swap
You are all invited to our first official Fashion Week event!
Bring all that like-new and gently worn clothing, shoes, accessories, and jewelry just taking up space in your closet and trade it in for a swap bag full of fashionable finds from your fellow stylish Bostonians.
Sip on wines from 90+ Cellars and Second Glass and chill out and count your cool finds in the FridgeCouch lounge, shop a carefully curated market of our favorite indie style-makers, and watch a runway show of created-on-site swap outfits from Boston’s best fashion bloggers. Plus, all the swap donations left over at the end of the night will be given to Goodwill Boston!
Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door (with a bag of stuff to swap), and this event will be open to all swappers who are 18+ with a positive ID.
Here’s how it works:
5 to 7:45 p.m.
Clothing drop-off and registration. Bring a bag of clothing to donate to the swap and receive an empty Boston Fashion Week Sip & Swap 2010 bag to fill to the brim with new-to-you items when the swap opens at 8 p.m. Shop our Swap Shop, a hand-picked market of indie vendors and other fashion-obsessed brands, while you wait!
8 p.m. SHARP!
Doors open to the swap, and the good stuff goes early so be on time (or line up around 7:45). Swappers who are 21+ are invited to sip on complimentary samples of wines from 90+ Cellars, courtesy of our friends at Second Glass — the tasting lounges are now officially open!
Boston Fashion Bloggers Runway Show, featuring outfits created completely from swap clothes!
Raffle prize drawings and special announcements from our super-awesome sponsor, Swap.com, the leading website for swapping online since 2004!
10 p.m. – close
Join us for the official Swapaholics After-Party at Highland Kitchen, sponsored by CitySearch. Come celebrate/drink/chit-chat with us and our awesome swap partners, sponsors, bloggers & models (and brag about your awesome finds) at one of our favorite Somerville nightspots. Cash bar.
