Snob Swap
When Melissa and I started planning our World Swap Day event we realized we have been in the South End for over a year and havent hosted an event on our home turf yet. So, this past week we hosted a small event at our Swap.com office and invited the bloggers, writers, and editors that have supported us over the past few years. We invited...
#SwapLove in Brokelyn w/ SarahBibi
Ever since the early days at Shoestring, I’ve been a huge fan of Brokelyn, a super stylish budget living blog catering to Brooklyn and the boroughs. A Year in Photos

There is no doubt that this’ll be our most exciting year yet. Lets take a quick look back on the past year of events: January:...
about
Once upon a time, on the Left Bank of Boston known as Cambridge and Somerville, the owner of a popular indie designers market brought together two girls with a mutual, lifelong love affair for vintage and thrift shopping in order to host a clothing swap, and The Swapaholics were born.

Since that fabulously fateful day, Amy Chase from Punky Style and Melissa Massello from Shoestring Magazine have co-hosted dozens of swaps around Boston and Worcester, each drawing between 25 and 450 people. They love being able to help thousands of men and women stay fashionable yet frugal, and have now decided to take those hopelessly Swapaholic ways online, sharing the joy of swapping with people everywhere!
The Swapaholics are now the official in-person event hostesses for Swap.com, and are national sustainable style and collaborative consumption experts based in Boston, MA. The Swapaholics are dedicated to reviving the age-old clothing swap, spreading the love for secondhand style, and sharing their trendsetting take on budget fashion with modern swappers nationwide.
By fusing each event with a fresh and fashion-forward take on recycled fashion and beauty products, co-founders Melissa Massello and Amy Chase are leading the retail revolution of swapping before shopping, and have been featured in USA Today, FastCompany, US News & World Report, The Boston Globe, The Los Angeles Times, The Dallas Morning News, Mass High Tech, BostInnovation, WalletPop/AOL, Racked LA, ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, and other fine media outlets.
